What are the common maintenance methods for Juki sewing machine control systems?

1. System automatic detection method
The Juki single needle sewing machine control system generally has the function of intelligent automatic fault detection. According to the different alarm codes of the system, it can determine what fault has occurred in the system, and further determine which part has the problem. After the fault code is determined, it can be repaired by the corresponding processing method. Different brands of electronic control systems may use different fault codes, but the fault types are not much different. The machine's manual is also marked with notes. Please refer to the relevant chapters for details.
2. Direct observation method
The direct observation method is the most basic maintenance inspection method, mainly by the maintenance technicians relying on vision, smell, and touch, through careful observation of the machine, and then comparing it with the normal operation of the system, so as to narrow the fault scope or directly find the fault location. For example, observe whether there are any scratches on the surface of the controller and the display screen, whether the plug is falling off, whether the lead wire is disconnected, whether the components of the circuit board are burnt, broken, or the pins are touching.
3. Substitute method
The substitution method is the most effective maintenance and inspection method to narrow down the scope of the fault. Maintenance often starts with large parts and replaces them step by step until the fault is detected. This method is mainly used when there are sufficient accessories or other complete electronic control systems that can be replaced. For example, when repairing the AC servo system, it is necessary to judge whether it is a system problem. Generally, the method of replacing the normal control box is adopted to judge and distinguish the problem of the sewing machine machinery or the control box. This method is also used when repairing the circuit board, replacing the suspected components in the circuit with known good components, and observing the changes of the controller to determine the fault.
4. Measuring voltage method
When the AC servo controller is working normally, the working voltage of each point in the machine represents the working condition of the machine within a certain range, and the working voltage will inevitably change when a fault occurs. The voltage measurement method is to use a multimeter to detect whether the working voltage of each plug in the machine and each test point of the circuit board is too large or too small and determine the specific cause of the fault according to the abnormal voltage. When measuring, use the different gears of the multimeter to measure AC voltage and DC voltage. The voltage measurement method is often measured when the machine is live, so pay attention to one-handed operation and safety first. For example, if the electronic control system does not respond when it is turned on, it is necessary to measure step by step from the switch to the circuit board under the condition of power-on, until the broken node is found.
5. Measuring resistance method
The resistance measurement method is to determine the specific cause of the fault by detecting the on and off of the line and the resistance value through the ohmic gear of the multimeter. When a controller that works normally is not powered on, some lines are open circuits, some are open circuits, and some have a certain resistance value. When the operation is abnormal, its resistance value status changes and these changes are detected by measuring the resistance method. And according to the change to determine the fault location. Remember that when measuring resistance, it is usually done with the controller de-energized. For example, the detection of the electromagnet is to judge whether its resistance is within the normal range through the ohm gear of the multimeter.
6. Measuring current method
The measuring current method is to judge the fault location by measuring the working current of a certain test point in the controller. In the measurement, the original line should be disconnected first, and the original line should be restored after the inspection. The current measurement is more troublesome than the voltage measurement, so the voltage measurement method should be selected first, and the current measurement method should be used if necessary.
7. Open circuit inspection method
The open circuit inspection method is to disconnect a certain functional circuit in the control system and observe the working condition of the control system to narrow the fault range. For example, if the electromagnet function of the electronic control system has a fault alarm, it can be judged whether other circuits are faulty by disconnecting the electromagnet connector or further disconnecting the power supply voltage of the electromagnet.
